Nick
Wauson is an essential member of Craftsman Homes of Austin in every project from inception
to completion. Nick assumes leadership roles on jobs and is a first rate carpenter with excellent cabinetmaking skills.
Nick has been charged with supervising the day to day operations at Cooper Lane Crafstman Bungalow. This has been a challenging job requiring to lift the complete structure four feet above ground to place a new foundation. He has also worked in the framing, timber framing as well as the brackets, exterior trims, windows, doors, siding installation; all these while trades worked on the electrical, plumbing and HVAC. Cooper Lane has been especially complex because the structure dates from the 1920's , before fire blocking and baloon framing.
Prior to Cooper Lane, Nick was an important component of the West Terrace Project where he worked on the framing and the trim. He also built and installed the cabinetry.
Currently he is also spending time at the Rancho Mirando Wedding Pavillion, near Wimberly, Texas.
Nick Wauson has additionally completed several trade courses and certifications, such as:
- Green Builder Certified, Humboldt Association
- OSHA Required Certification for Hazardous Materials, houses built prior 1980 - Federal Law.
