Master Craftsman

Mark Du Bois executed and completed much of the carpentry at Buckeye. His contribution has been vast; it has ranged from framing to fine carpentry.

The imprint of his work is apparent throughout the house on most of the columns and beams, including the arched beams at the Living Room ceiling. Mark also completed all exterior brackets, exterior railings, and entry trusses.

Du Bois is not only a carpenter with over three decades of experience, but also an outstanding craftsman, contractor, and cabinet and furniture maker.

“Mark has a great work ethic. He is able to complete outstanding work at an impressive pace. That is a rare combination in a craftsman.” Says Steve Wauson.

Mark and Steve Wauson have known each other more than 30 years, and worked together for over 25 of them. When Mark isn’t working on a large project, he makes custom cabinets and furniture from a shop on his property near Bastrop.
