In total, five colors of Mexican travertine — Latte, Café Noir, Carmel, Gaillo and Vintage — were used throughout the residence's interior spaces. To create the floor patterns in the various living spaces, 2- x 2-foot pieces of the material were brought on site and then sawn to various sizes.
